  • Hi there. My name is Annie Holland. I'm the digital editor of Avant Food Media, and I'm thrilled to be presenting at this year's IBIE. I've been covering the baking industry for the past 3 years, and I'm really excited to share my insights with this year's attendees.
  • What will attendees learn from this session?
  • Through my work with Avant Food Media, I've had the privilege to connect with retail bakers from all over the country, and through these conversations, I've learned about all of the different ways that they have approached opening their brick and mortar shops, whether it's starting at a cottage bakery level and transitioning into a brick and mortar shop, or if it's a bakery who's already got one successful shop and is expanding into multiple. There is no one way to build a bakery. During my session, what it takes to build a bakery, I hope attendees will glean insights from the experience of others in the industry and can learn about all of the opportunities they have to get their businesses off the ground.
