  • Session Spotlight: Creating a Healthy Culture in Your Bakery
  • I'm Julian Loue, founder and owner of Rise Bakery in Greenville, South Carolina.
  • What topic or trend does this session cover, and why is it important?
  • In this session, we're going to cover creating a healthy culture in your bakery because happy bakers make happy customers.
  • What will attendees learn from this session?
  • Today we're going to talk about creating a structured work environment that keeps employees engaged, empowered, and enthusiastic. We spend a lot of time together around the bench and it's easy to get caught up in the monotony of the day today. We're going to talk about cross training, about encouraging our team to grow both professionally and personally, and setting up systems that help keep them fulfilled and sustained and make the bakery a place where they can really put down roots and stay for a long time. We need to increase employee retention. Turnover is costly. It takes a lot of time and resources and efforts that we could be putting in different places. Investing in our team helps them invest in us.
