  • Session Spotlight - Taste Tomorrow: Innovation Driven by Insights
  • I'm Margaret Schneider, and I'm the consumer insights manager at Puratos US. In my time with Puratos, I started working on the Sensobus conducting research with consumers about the preferred taste and texture of bakery items. I currently work with our US Taste tomorrow research program, where we analyze what consumers want now and in the future.
  • What topic or trend does this session cover, and why is it important?
  • In our session, we'll discuss what the evolving consumer wants in terms of taste and texture, health properties, and sustainability in their baked good items. We'll do this by exploring the taste tomorrow findings through our qualitative and quantitative research paired with our always on social and search engine tracker.
  • What will attendees learn from this session?
  • In this session we'll learn what excites consumers in terms of taste and texture and how we can find inspiration from global cultures. We'll dive into what consumers value in terms of health properties, including cleaner label, functional foods, and gut health. We'll explore what consumers want in terms of brand sustainability and how we can position our offerings to suit those needs. And finally, we'll discuss where the latent and emerging demand is in terms of bread, sweet goods, and chocolate.
