• My name is Felix Pang, and I'm a robotic sales application engineer at ABI Limited. In the last 10 years, I've been working in the bakery industry, first as a controlled engineer, gaining valuable experience in the field and understanding the customer's pain points, and now transitioning to my role as a sales application engineer. I create the solutions to address those pain points, to increase efficiency, and to improve the product quality for all our customers.
• What topic or trend does this session cover, and why is it important?
• So this session we will be talking about the topics of data analytics and artificial intelligence. In all industries, AI and data analytics is becoming more and more important, and even in an industry steeped in tradition like the baking industry, industrial bakers need to maintain their high product quality and optimize the production in order to be successful. In this session, we'll dive deeper into how these technologies will help you do that.
• What will attendees learn from this session?
• As data analytics and AI becomes more prevalent across different industries, the bakery sector is no different. In this session, we'll look at how these technologies can be applied to optimize your production process in three major ways. One is to ensure product quality and sustainability. Using AI-driven quality control systems, you'll be able to monitor everything in real time from color to textures, all of that to reduce waste and create uniform products. We'll also address the factor of skilled labor shortage. By using AI to continuously monitor the process, you'll be able to free up your human resources to perform other more important tasks. And lastly for preventive maintenance. By using the data that you're collecting, you're able to eliminate unplanned downtime or unplanned interruptions to your process while maintaining your equipment up time and then increasing the overall production yield from your equipment.
