- Sesssion Spotlight: Enhancing Efficiency in Conditioning Applications through Optimized Airflow
- Hello, my name is David Bogel. I'm a development engineer with Intralox out of New Orleans, Louisiana. I've been developing products for Intralox for over 30 years and hold several dozen patents related to conveyors and conveyor belt technology. I'm also an expert in airflow and conditioning applications and look forward to speaking with everyone at IBIE this year.
- What topic/trend does this session cover and why is it important?
- The section at IBIE this year will cover critical pieces of conditioning equipment such as freezers or coolers or proofers. Many plants just simply don't understand that there are potentially big efficiency gains inside of those pieces of equipment with proper understanding and measurement. Our session will help point out some of the areas that you could look for in your own plant to understand if there's areas that you could be optimizing in those critical pieces of equipment.
- What will attendees learn from this session?
- After this session, I hope that all the attendees can walk away with a further understanding of how critical it is to understand what's really going on inside of your conditioning or cooling equipment in a plant. Have you ever actually measured airflow where the product is actually sitting? Sure, the room is cold, the room is cool, but where the product is sitting, what are those types of environments? We can help you with the tools to understand those areas of your plant and your production line to make sure you're optimizing your own efficiencies.
